However, according to the game’s publisher, this is good news for the players who are already playing AmongUs and who own the game. This means that those players wouldn’t need to spend more money on a sequel and would get all of the new content automatically as the new updates for the game get released.
Among Us is a free-to-play game, and it makes money by placing advertisements in the game in between matches. That means you'll occasionally see an ad during a game, and you will also occasionally see ads when you're in the lobby, though those only show up when the game is being updated. But as Among Us game download becomes more popular, it’s likely that you’ll see more advertising as the developers try to make money off of the free game.
